FINAL CONCEPT
The light rail stop was designed as a minimal shelter serving to carve out a waiting \ queuing space out of the site. The design concept stems from the combination of 'Tactile Montage' and 'Honest Sculptural Form'. The shelter's form was inspired by the Seidler's house whilst, the concrete form was inspired by the tactile montage of Wang Shu's Ningbo Museum.
The inside form of the shelter were smoothed to create a curvilinear sculptural form from simple planes. Whilst, the exterior acts a shell and as contrast.
The concrete form also plays between the curvilinear and the rectangular. The concrete form also serves as a divider between the footpath and the platform.
